No Space To Grow? There’s an app for that. Well, an app-connected GroBox. For those who live in an apartment, particularly if it’s in an especially sought-after region, chances are that space is at a premium. Forget the big balconies and living rooms that you’ve seen on t.v. shows. In real life, you’re far more likely to be choosing between a sofa and a decent-size bed (that is, if you’re lucky enough to have either).
That’s where a new product, the GroBox, really shines.
Built by Cloudponics, the GroBox helps urban dwellers maximize precious space to grow healthy plants, vegetables or cannabis at-home, which means fewer trips to Whole Foods. The all-in-one box is an app-connected device that allows you to control various aspects of the growing process from your smartphone. Growers can control temperature, lighting, humidity, nutrient dosing, and pH balance.
While most GroBox users will use the GroBox to grow cannabis, the unit can grow a variety of other plants such as basil, tomatoes, kale and more. To counter the smell of cannabis the system has its own odor blocking carbon filter, as well as the ability to lock the doors through its app. Once ready for harvest, the GroBox can help you cure your buds through it’s “drying mode.”
